With Stars, Anne Wilson brings her story full circle. Completing the trilogy she began with My Jesus and Rebel, Anne shines a light on faith, growth, and the beauty of new beginnings in her new album Stars. The rising country artist is known for her faith-forward storytelling and powerhouse vocals. The project marks a milestone moment in her remarkable career journey that began with heartbreak and has grown into a message of hope shared with millions.
For Wilson, Stars feels like both a fresh start and a full-circle moment. The 23-year-old Kentucky native has never shied away from honesty, but this album takes her vulnerability and sound to a new level. Sonically, it leans further into pop-country territory, shimmering melodies, sweeping choruses, and lyrics that balance sorrow with joy. It’s a record that explores grief, faith, and perseverance while reminding listeners that dreams don’t have an expiration date.
“Life is gonna be hard but keep your eyes fixed on Him and keep going. Allow God to lead your life. Stars is about remembering what it felt like to dream big when you were little, before life weighed you down." - Anne Wilson exclusively shared with Fort Nash
From Tragedy to Triumph
Wilson’s music career began in the unlikeliest of places, her brother Jacob’s funeral. After losing him eight years ago, she performed “What a Beautiful Name,” a worship song that helped her process her grief. The performance changed everything. She posted a cover of the video to YouTube, eventually leading to her discovery and her first record deal.
In the years since, Wilson has grown from a grieving teenager into one of the most inspiring new voices in Country and Christian music. Her 2021 breakout single, “My Jesus,” went viral overnight, earning millions of streams and launching her into a whirlwind of touring and recording. What followed were two deeply personal albums and a growing fan base drawn to her transparency and faith-driven storytelling.
Now, with Stars, Wilson says:
“It feels like putting a bow on everything,” she said. “I turned the age my brother was when he passed away. It’s been eight years, and I can see how God’s written this story in my life.”

Stars: The Album
Musically, Stars stretches Wilson’s sound further than ever. While her earlier albums leaned heavier into the Christian space, this record feels built for the country mainstream, blending polished production with deeply emotional songwriting.
Songs like “Carry Me” and “23” showcase her at her most open, exploring the loneliness, confusion, and eventual strength that come with loss. “Carry Me,” in particular, stands as one of the most emotional songs of her career, a plea for help that resonates in today’s uncertain world.
“I can’t listen to it without crying,” Wilson shared during the interview. “It’s that moment when you realize you can’t hold the weight anymore, and you just need someone to come alongside you.”
While vulnerability drives the heart of the record, there’s also a thread of optimism throughout. Tracks like the title song “Stars” and “Hold Your Horses” capture the free-spirited energy of a young woman finding her footing, grounded by faith but unafraid to dream. Wilson hopes you feel inspired, encouraged, and filled with hope as you listen to Stars.
Reaching New Heights
This year has been a whirlwind for Anne. She just wrapped a tour opening for Morgan Wallen, a dream come true for the young artist, and she’s preparing for her own Stars Tour kicking off tomorrow night [10/18] in Nashville at The Pinnacle, followed by a special four-show Christmas run in December.
Despite the busyness, she’s trying to stay grounded in gratitude. After three albums, hundreds of shows, and more than a few pinch-me moments, Wilson is focused on the simple things: faith, family, and the joy of making music that matters.
“I’m learning to just enjoy it,” she said. “This album has ministered to me personally. I want to take it all in before the next chapter begins.”
Dreams Among the Stars
At its core, Stars is about perspective, trading your own plans for something bigger, and finding wonder in a world that often feels heavy. Wilson may not have ended up at NASA, as she once dreamed as a little girl, but she’s still reaching new heights, connecting souls instead of satellites.
As she put it, Stars is more than just an album title. It’s a reflection of what she’s been reaching for all along: hope, light, and a reminder that there’s still magic to be found, even in the hardest moments.
When asked to sum up Stars in a single word, Wilson didn’t hesitate:
“Magical.”
