Kid Rock is about to embark on a small leg of North American dates for his Freedom 250 Tour, starting May 1st in Dallas, Texas. But don’t stress because there are still plenty of seats left at every stop. The tour was announced nearly two weeks ago, and tickets have been on sale for almost a week. It appears not many people are hurrying to collect their seats despite tickets ranging modestly from about $50-$300 on Ticketmaster, except for Kid Rock’s “First Class Seats.”

Kid Rock is selling front-row seats for this tour for $5,000, with each row after that decreasing by $1,000 until row 6 and beyond, priced at $500 for 100-level seats. So even if you want to be five rows back for the Bullgod, you’re still paying $1,000 per seat. Is the price worth it?

On Ticketmaster for the same price as Kid Rock’s front row First Class Seats, you could buy front row tickets to see George Strait, pit tickets to see Ella Langley, and front row Alabama tickets with room to spare. For $5,000, you’d think it would at least come with some complementary additives, but as of now, none have been established.

This may come as a shock to some fans, as the “Bawitdaba” singer was seen testifying at a hearing by the Senate Commerce Committee on live concert event fees and bots. He called out skyrocketing ticket prices, claiming, “I believe music fans and artists have been getting screwed over for far too long by the ticketing system.”

Perhaps, Rock’s ticketing sales have slowed due to his recent “alternative” half-time show with Turning Point USA, which held lip-synching allegations. The backlash he received from this performance led to multiple cancellations of Rock the South festival dates after bands and supporters pulled out. It’s almost as if fans are putting his picture away.
