Cash recorded this album at the legendary Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Produced by John Carter Cash and Willie Breeding, “The Sunshine State” showcases the vocal ability and songwriting craftsmanship of Ana Cristina Cash. Cash said growing "up speaking both English and Spanish at home” helped with the naturalness of recording both English and Spanish vocals. 


“The Sunshine State” includes previously released tracks like “Florida Girl” and “Cheap Margaritas”. Cash "drew a lot of inspiration" from growing up in South Florida and the nostalgia that comes with it.
