Brantley Gilbert made history this past weekend, bringing together 118,000 fans in downtown Nashville for his World’s Largest Album Release Party, celebrating his seventh studio album, Tattoos. He took over Broadway from 3rd to 5th Avenue with a giant concert in the middle of the street.

Kicking off with his headlining tour’s namesake, “Off The Rails,” Gilbert included a mix of his biggest hits, fan favorites, and new songs from Tattoos, which GRAMMY.com says “inks another portrait of small-town country life.”

As the night progressed, Gilbert welcomed a lineup of surprise guests, including Colt Ford, marking his return to the stage after a life-threatening heart attack. Other guests included Ashley Cooke, Gilbert’s duet partner on “Over When We’re Sober,” along with Gary LeVox, Demun Jones, and Struggle Jennings, all longtime collaborators and friends. The concert also featured performances by Brian Kelley, Mae Estes, Chase McDaniel, Noah Hicks, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Shaylen, keeping the energy high throughout the evening. Other activities lined the streets as well, including airbrush tattoos in honor of the album.

The World’s Largest Album Release Party also served as the finale to the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix’s Freedom Friday celebrations, which honor military and first responders. Gilbert’s concert paid tribute to these heroes with unique activations, including a helicopter aerial demonstration by the 160th Special Ops Aviation Regiment and a flyover by the 101st Airborne Division.

The lead single, “Over When We’re Sober,” featuring Ashley Cooke, is already climbing the country charts. Listen to Tattoos here.
