Anyone traveling through Southern Tennessee this summer should stop by the Tennessean’s new rebranded travel stop themed after the queen of country music herself. The 25,000 square foot travel stop located at I-65 and exit 22 in Cornersville, Tennessee, is intended to focus on the legacy and charm of Dolly Parton. This includes “modern amenities, curated dining, and authentic regional retail.”

This comes as one of many initiatives by Dolly to support local businesses and communities as well as provide infrastructure and jobs to underserved counties. “Whether you are driving a truck, a bus, or a car, you want a place that feels like home and recharges you for the rest of your journey,” says Dolly. “I believe we will fill a void out there on the highways, all while bringing the heart and soul of Tennessee.”

For the Tennessean Travel Stop to rebrand with such an iconic figure, it’s hard to imagine they could’ve picked a better face to represent Tennessee. Her impact on the state has been immensely recognized, especially with the ongoing Change.org petition to change the name of Nashville International Airport (BNA) to Dolly Parton International Airport. There’s little doubt that the “I Will Always Love You” singer's themed travel stop will be anything but a “warm, inviting destination” just as she and her team intend.

Physical and in-depth details have been purposefully kept to a minimum until the unveiling. However, we are told that more stops are to come and be announced this year. Until then, we’ll imagine wearing our “What Would Dolly Do?” t-shirts while pumping gas to the sound of Dolly classics. The truck stop industry just got the friendliest competitor.
