Just a few days after country music superstar Ella Langley revealed the 18-song tracklist for her upcoming album Dandelion, the singer posted an Instagram story where she opened up about her strengthening relationship with God. The Easter Sunday video showcased Langley performing a stripped-back piano version of the classic hymn “Because He Lives.”

The video included text, where Langley explained that, though she remains a lifelong Christian, recent developments in her career have led her even closer to God.

“Even though I’ve been a believer in Christ my whole life, my relationship with Him has changed drastically over the last year,” Langley wrote. “I started to have ‘faith.’ I started to view the days we have been given as a gift instead of a chore. I am so grateful for a God who leads with love and compassion.”

The post comes amidst a media frenzy surrounding Langley’s recent record-breaking run on the Billboard Hot 100. The twangy hit “Choosin’ Texas” hit five weeks at No. 1 just hours after she posted her Easter confessional, shattering the record for longest-running No. 1 hit on Hot 100 by a female country singer, which was previously held by Taylor Swift. Langley’s recent commercial success highlights her journey over the past year, which she alludes to in her video.

Just days before her candid Easter admission, Langley revealed the tracklist for her forthcoming sophomore album Dandelion, which she’s been teasing since January. The album will include some of Langley’s latest hits, such as “Choosin’ Texas” and “Be Her,” and it will also take her on a 16-date tour across the U.S. starting in May.

“Thank you, Jesus, for giving me a way to spend eternity with you,” Langley wrote.
