As if our hearts hadn’t broken enough since the passing of Black Sabbath frontman, and legendary solo performer Ozzy Osbourne, here comes another tearjerker. Son of Ozzy, Jack Osbourne, and his wife Aree have just announced the birth of their second child together (Jack’s fifth child). They announced her name is Ozzy Matilda Osbourne.

It’s clear that Jack had admired his dad even from a young age. In various interviews with Howard Stern, Joan Rivers, and all throughout the 1990s, Jack sits beside his dad, participating in the late-night comedy. Jack was a main participant on The Osbournes, a reality show that centered around Ozzy and his comedic, sporadic, busy life. The two also shared a brief series together called “Ozzy and Jack’s World Tour” in which they traveled the U.S. exploring history and various landmarks.

In 2022, Jack and Aree announced their first child together, Maple. This was Jack’s fourth child, having Pearl, Andy, and Minnie still under his wing from his first marriage. Jack and Aree married in 2023 in secret to maintain a quiet family life. With the birth of Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, she is the eleventh grandchild of the “Crazy Train” singer. Their post comes with a stuffed bat in frame as well, referencing Ozzy’s consistent affiliation with the animal since 1982.

The whole world has been celebrating the life of Ozzy Osbourne ever since his passing in July of 2025. Artists and creatives of all genres and styles have praised the influence he had on music and the arts in general. The Prince of Darkness was a philanthropist until the day he passed, with one of his last actions being his raising of over one hundred million dollars for children’s hospitals and the cure for Parkinson’s disease.

As one fan wrote, “We have another Ozzy Osbourne! The world is right again.” We couldn’t agree more as it seems we’ll never get enough closure. We’re certain Ozzy is smiling down on this moment. Congratulations to the Osbourne family!
