Coachella’s first weekend has many people buzzing and reposting their experiences, praising sets by headliners, Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G. Festival goers are also notably resharing sets from Slayyyter, Nine Inch Noize, Turnstile, KATSEYE, PinkPantheress, and others. The second weekend will kick off with a few more surprises, including an unprecedented set by Kacey Musgraves.

The announcement comes alongside Coachella’s schedule release for the second weekend. Kacey Musgraves will be performing a fifty-minute set from 3:00-3:50 on the Mojave stage. Her set is sure to draw festival goers to the venue early, so be prepared for excess traffic if you’re planning on arriving close to that time.
We can only hope to hear unreleased songs or two from her anticipated album, Middle of Nowhere, to be released at the beginning of May. Or perhaps we’ll get to hear her latest single, “Dry Spell,” which will be featured on the album. However, even if she only graces us with her classics, we’ll be singing every word of “Rainbow” and “Biscuits” no matter how hot that Indio desert heat gets.
With a lack of country artists on the lineup, it’s reassuring to see one of the most prominent women in country music adding fair representation to the bill. Though the festival grounds host Stagecoach, a predominantly country festival that takes place the following week after Coachella ends, it’s nice to have a bit of country mixed in with your day of headbanging to industrial rockers and trying to hit that pose in “Juno” during Sabrina Carpenter’s set.
All in all, we can’t wait to see what pure country bliss Kacey Musgraves has in store for us with her surprise set. We’re certain it will be a “Golden Hour” with this country music icon serenading us mid-afternoon at the festival.
Get excited for Kacey Musgraves’ anticipated, delightful, unprecedented set at the second weekend of this year’s Coachella festival.
