Country superstar Morgan Wallen debuted a major surprise on Friday during his stop in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on his 2026 Still the Problem Tour: an unreleased duet with his show opener, Ella Langley.

Langley joined Wallen on stage during his encore, and the pair slowly circled each other before breaking into the intense, fiery ballad about two partners who can’t let go of each other. Both Langley and Wallen joined in for the chorus, singing: "I'm sitting in this bed with your ghost every night / I hate that your kiss left a burn on my lips / Oh baby, I tell my heart it ain't yours / I've said it before / I can't love you anymore."
“Ella wrote this song and sent it [to] me about a month ago, and I loved it,” Wallen said from the stage.
Before launching into the song, the pair shared that the single is set for release on Friday, April 24, causing mass debate among fans. Many listeners were left wondering if the duet would remain a single or if it would join the tracklist on a future Wallen or Langley project. The two main theories include a deluxe version of Langley’s recent album, Dandelion, which just debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, or an unknown upcoming Wallen project which has yet to be announced.
Though Friday’s performance marked the song’s debut, a little bit of fan sleuthing has determined that Langley may have been teasing the track for the last two weeks. At the end of the music video for her mega hit “Choosin’ Texas,” Langley leaves a bar and hops into Miranda Lambert’s tour van. As she enters the van, the camera pans to the Tennessee license plate, which reads “ICLYA.” Many fans initially assumed the acronym stood for “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” and it turns out they were right.

The powerhouse duet has seemingly been a long time coming, as the pair have been collaborating on stage for a while. Langley opened up for Wallen on his summer 2025 I’m the Problem tour, and is slated to open, alongside other special guests, for a number of shows on his current tour. Both Langley and Wallen are two of the biggest names in country music right now, so “I Can’t Love You Anymore” has the potential to become the catalyst for a generational era for both artists in 2026.
Wallen’s next show is May 1 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Langley will join Wallen as an opener for a lineup of remaining dates, including: May 9 in Indianapolis, May 16 in Gainesville, Florida, May 30 in Denver, June 6 in Pittsburgh, June 20 in Chicago, June 27 in Clemson, S.C, July 18 in Baltimore and Aug. 1 in Philadelphia.
