Country star Riley Green was injured in his face and neck after a fan threw their cell phone at him during a performance at Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne, Australia. The singer was left with blood running from his ear down to his neck, and the injury resulted in Green receiving five stitches in his earlobe.

Immediately after the incident, Green stopped the show and had his crew turn on the arena lights while security helped him locate the suspect in the crowd. Once the phone-thrower was identified, Green immediately instructed security to throw him out, shouting, “This one right here? Get his fat a** out of here. Go on.”
After the suspect was escorted out, Green returned his attention to the audience and began thanking them for attending. Multiple fan videos have been uploaded since the incident, and it appears that Green was unaware he was bleeding until a crew member rushed on stage to wipe his head and neck with a towel.

"Damn, am I bleeding?” Green asked. “Y'all see how tough I am? Thank god he didn’t have an iPhone 12, that would have really hurt."
After this, Green quickly returned to regular programming, continuing his set but occasionally throwing in a few jokes about the incident.
“Do me a favor right here,” Green said. “Get your phones out, and you can turn the flashlight on, just don’t throw it at me.”
Green’s Instagram story later revealed that medics backstage had stitched up his ear after the show.
The singer-songwriter is slated to finish out the Australian run of his “Cowboy As It Gets” tour this week, including shows in Sydney and Ipswich.
