A Star-Studded Country Lineup

The Wiggles are no strangers to genre crossovers, but Wiggle Up, Giddy Up! is their biggest project yet. According to The Wiggles website, the album features an all-star lineup, including Dolly Parton on Friends!, Lainey Wilson on Let’s Ride!, and Orville Peck on Friends of Dorothy. Other contributors include Morgan Evans, Jackson Dean, Kaylee Bell, MacKenzie Porter, Troy Cassar-Daley, The Wolfe Brothers, Travis Collins, Lucky Oceans, and even the late Slim Dusty.

Anthony Wiggle, one of the group’s original members, shared his excitement, saying, “This is one of the most exciting projects we’ve ever been part of. Country music is all about storytelling and connection, and combining that with The Wiggles’ fun and imagination felt like the perfect match” (The Wiggles website).

The First Single: Wiggle Up, Giddy Up!

The album’s title track, Wiggle Up, Giddy Up!, featuring rising country star Dasha, has already been released. According to The Wiggles website, the song is designed to be an energetic, family-friendly anthem perfect for singalongs and even a little line dancing. Lachy Wiggle added, “We’re so excited to share Wiggle Up, Giddy Up! with families everywhere. Whether you’re three, thirty-three, or ninety-three, this song is all about bringing people together to sing, dance, and have fun.”

A Fresh Spin on Wiggles Classics

In addition to brand-new songs, the album reimagines some Wiggles classics with a country twist. Rock-a-Bye Your Bear gets a fresh take with MacKenzie Porter, while Toot Toot, Chugga Chugga, Big Red Ute (a country-fied spin on Big Red Car) features Morgan Evans (The Wiggles website).

Tsehay Wiggle expressed how meaningful this project has been for the group, saying, “Making this album has opened the door for so many amazing collaborations that transcend boundaries. Whether you’re a lifelong country fan or newer to the genre like me, Wiggle Up, Giddy Up! has fun moments for everyone” (The Wiggles website).

The Wiggles Take Country on the Road

Beyond the album, 2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for The Wiggles. The group will perform at the Tamworth Country Music Festival on January 21, followed by the Bouncing Balls Tour, which will take them across Australia, the UK, the USA, and Canada (The Wiggles website).
