On March 3, 2024, Morgan Wallen celebrated the second anniversary of his groundbreaking third studio album, One Thing at a Time. Released on March 3, 2023, this 36-track collection not only showcased Wallen's versatility by blending country, alternative, and hip-hop influences but also cemented his status as a dominant force in the music industry.

The album's impact was immediate and profound. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, moving 501,000 album-equivalent units in its first week—the largest week for a country album by units since 2021. Remarkably, according to Country Now, One Thing at a Time maintained its position atop the chart for 19 non-consecutive weeks, tying Garth Brooks' 1991 record for the most weeks at number one for a country album. This achievement also made it the most-streamed album of the year across all genres on Spotify.
To commemorate the album's two-year anniversary, Wallen surprised fans with the release of the Abbey Road Sessions on March 3, 2024. This seven-track collection features live renditions of songs from One Thing at a Time, recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London. The sessions include five live recordings from the original album, an unreleased track titled "Lies Lies Lies," and a cover of Nothing But Thieves' 2015 song "Graveyard Whistling" (Country Now).
Reflecting on the experience, Wallen shared, "Playing the O2 in London last fall and getting to record at Abbey Road, where so much iconic music has been made, was legendary for me and my band. We will never forget it." He added, "I’m so excited to release these Abbey Road Sessions for my fans on the one-year anniversary of One Thing at a Time. They make all this possible" (Country Now).
One Thing at a Time not only showcased Wallen's artistic growth but also solidified his place in country music history. The album's success, coupled with the intimate Abbey Road Sessions, highlights a remarkable two years for the artist and his fans.
