Prominent singer-songwriter John Morgan is off to an exciting start in 2025, with major milestones already shaping his career. He recently revealed the official release date for his debut album, Carolina Blue, which will drop on April 25th.

Carolina Blue: Debut Album Release
The 12-track album will highlight Morgan’s versatility, exploring a wide range of sounds and featuring collaborations that showcase his evolution as an artist. Co-produced by Morgan and Brent Anderson, Carolina Blue has been years in the making, with each track telling a unique story that mirrors the life John Morgan could be living.

“With Carolina Blue, I hope there’s relatability in the songs we chose and that the lyrics within them strike a chord,” Morgan shared in a statement. “I’m a dad and married now, in a different stage of life than I was when I first moved from North Carolina to Nashville. I don’t try to be anything I’m not. I’ve never been good at that, and I know folks can snuff that out pretty quick. I hope these songs give people a message that there’s value in whatever they are doing. Most of the people who hear this are working the blue-collar jobs I’d be doing if this wasn’t working, and I want them to hear their stories and feel their worth in this album.”
A Personal Journey Behind Carolina Blue
The multi No. 1 hit songwriter took to social media to announce the album and share the personal journey behind its creation. He described the album’s overall meaning, offering fans an inside look at the inspiration behind each track.
“Carolina Blue, my debut album, is out April 25th! This has been a long time comin’, and I can’t wait for y’all to hear these tunes,” Morgan wrote in his caption. “I’ve had some of these songs in my back pocket for 3-4 years. A couple of ‘em I wrote last year. My goal was to showcase all the diverse sounds, ideas, and collaborations that I love so much about country music.
He continued, “This project reflects on past chapters in life with hopes of providing some sort of closure on them. It highlights all the good in my present and being grateful for where I’m at. It tells a piece of my story and time-stamps what I hope to be the foundation for many projects to come. I’m especially proud and blessed to be able to showcase so many of my talented friends who are a big part of this project on all ends! I hope every bit of hard work put into this project shines through in each track. Thank y’all for making it possible for an ole mountain boy to live out a dream! If you would, go Pre-save & Pre-order Carolina Blue now!”
