Country star, Kashus Culpepper, has released his debut album, “Act I”. This smashing new debut has been highly anticipated and includes a mix of “Americana twang, intimate soul, and searing Southern rock”. The 18-track debut shows major development in Culpepper’s “sound and storytelling”, making him one of the artists to watch this year. In songs like “Break Me Like” and “Alabama Beauty Queen”, we see Culpepper dive deep emotionally. Culpepper also takes creative leaps into psychedelic sounds for some of his songs.

With star-studded features from Marcus King and Sierra Ferrell, fans should be excited about this new artist collaboration. With Culpepper writing on each song, the Alabama singer pours himself into every lyric and melodic line.

Culpepper is a big supporter of Alabama, his home state, and chose to record this album at Ivy Manor Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. This decision, rooted in his hometown pride and music history, shows in his album with deep South soul being an element in every song. With giants such as The Allman Brothers and Aretha Franklin sharing the same recording space, this left Culpepper with a sense of gratitude and drive to use that distinct sound to transform his artistry.

Kashus Culpepper has received critical acclaim from sources like Billboard, Rolling Stone, and many more. His “scene-stealing talent” has captured the likeness of greats alike, and there is no doubt the sky is the limit for this young artist.
