Sphere Entertainment are in the beginning steps and discussions to bring a smaller version of the Las Vegas Sphere to Nashville. This follows plans for a similar style venue in the D.C. area.

Sources told Axios that Sphere Entertainment representatives have met with Nashville business moguls to discuss bringing a smaller version of the highly successful venue to Music City. The discussions that have taken place have been said to be "very preliminary", but the news has the city buzzing with excitement.

The company announced in January its plans to develop a smaller-scale venue at National Harbor, a popular convention center hub in Maryland just outside of Washington D.C. Similar to what we would see in Nashville, the venue would have a capacity of 6,000 seats and feature the iconic Exosphere, the LED exterior that showcases content.

In the smaller scale, the proposed venue would have a 16K x 16k display plane, which will feature immersive sound and 4D effects for the crowd to be fully immersed in the show. The interior display plane would be the world's highest-resolution LED screen. This expansion falls in line with the goals of Sphere Entertainment as they grow their global footprint with smaller-scale venues.

While still in its early stages, Nashville and country music fans should be excited about the future of live music and touring concerts in the city. With this expansion, country music would be experienced in a completely new, immersive way.
